Gift It Lightspeed Kounta Operations Guide
This guide will demonstrate how to sell and redeem vouchers using Lightspeed Kounta.
Selling Vouchers
A voucher can be sold either online through a digital gift card, or through a physical gift voucher. When a customer wants a Gift Voucher in store, ask them whether they would like it digital or physical version. It's best if they buy it online to avoid bottlenecks at the POS. It also captures their email address for marketing use.
Selling Online Vouchers
Your restaurant will have a link they can purchase Gift cards from. For example, Comuna Cantina's Gift Cards can be purchased from this link. https://app.gift-it.com.au/buy/comunacantina.
We recommend doing an A4 poster with a QR code that links to your Gift Voucher purchase link. Alternatively you can tell the customer that the voucher can be purchased from your website.
Selling Physical Vouchers
Each physical voucher should have a voucher number on it. In this example, my voucher number is 81227.
Once you have your physical voucher number, do the following on your POS
1. Click on Menu in Top Left Hand Corner
2. Click on Add-ons
3. Click on Gift Cards
4. Click on Gift-It
5. Enter Voucher Number and Press Confirm
This should be the voucher number on the physical card.
6. Click on Add Funds
7. Enter the Amount of the Voucher and Press Ok
8. Select Payment Method
This will add money to the Gift Voucher. From here, it is good practice to gather the customers details in case they lose their physical voucher.
You can store these details in Gift It against the voucher number by doing the following.
3. Search for the Voucher Number
4. Click on the Voucher Number
5. Click on Edit
6. Enter the Customers Details
7. Click on Save
