Cash Drawer Keeps Opening in Abacus POS

If your POS printer is set to print both order dockets and receipts, the cash drawer may automatically open when an order is received. To prevent this from happening, please follow the steps below.

Steps to Disable the Cash Drawer Trigger

  1. Open the Abacus POS app on your iPad.

  2. Tap the printer icon (receipt/bill printer).

  3. Open the printer settings.

  4. Set the Number of Buzzes to 0.

  5. Tap Save.


Once this setting is applied, the cash drawer will no longer open automatically when order dockets are printed.
