Product Upsell Prompt in Online Ordering

Product Upsell Prompt in Online Ordering

Upsell prompts help encourage customers to add extra items to their order, such as add-on toppings, sauces, or complementary products they might enjoy. These suggestions appear directly during the ordering flow, making it easier to increase average order value without disrupting the customer experience.

You can set up upsell prompts at a category level, so the same suggestions automatically appear for all products within that category.

How to set up an upsell prompt

  1. Go to Menus > Online Ordering Menus, then open the menu you want to update.

  2. Select and edit the category where you want the upsell prompt to appear.

  3. In the Name field, enter the heading you want customers to see (for example: Similar items you might enjoy or Extra toppings you may like).

If this field is left blank, the system will automatically use the default heading: You may also like to add.

  4. Under Search product, choose the product you want to suggest, then click Add Product.

The selected item will be added to the upsell list.

  5. Repeat the step above if you want to include multiple upsell items.

  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

Once saved, the upsell prompt will automatically appear on all products within that category in your online ordering menu.
