iPad Settings Audit

This guide will demonstrate an auditing process for iPads if there are any issues.

Power Cycle the iPad
  1. Press the power button for a few seconds
  2. Swipe to power off
  3. Power on the iPad by pressing the power button, or disconnecting / reconnecting the charger.
Update Lightspeed Application
Home Button > App Store > Search Lightspeed > Click on Lightspeed Point of Sale > Click Update
Close All Open Applications
iPad with Home Button
Double Press Home Button > Swipe Up Each Application to Close
iPad without Home Button
Open an Application > Swipe Up from the Bottom Middle of Screen > Swipe Up Each Application to Close
Under iPad Settings, Configure the Following Settings
General
General > Software Update > Enable Automatic Updates
General > Software Update > Download and Install
General > About > Name > Set your device name to be the same as the POS name (this helps to identify and monitor the device)
General > App Store > Automatic Downloads > App Updates > Enable
Safari
Safari > Advanced > Experimental Features > "NSURL Session WebSocket" > Disable
Safari > Clear Website History and Data
WiFi
Please ensure you are connected to the correct network, and all other networks are forgotten / not saved. If your device is hopping from one WiFi network to another, it can cause internet and printing issues.
Ask to Join Networks > Off
Auto Join Hotspot > Never
WiFi > Press "i" next to your network
Auto-Join > Enable
Low Data Mode > Disable
Private WiFi Address > Disable
Limit IP Address Tracking > Disable
Point of Sale
Point of Sale > Enable Logging for Epson Printer > Enable
Point of Sale > Switch to Multicast Broadcast for Epson Printers > Enable
Point of Sale > Alternate Server > my.kounta.com
Point of Sale > Repair Application on Next Launch > Enable

After these settings have been changed, we can then re-open the POS application. 
Lightspeed POS > Login to Back Office > Login > Press POS (top right hand corner) > Select Register > Press "Use on This Device"
