Kounta Down/Offline Procedures Guide

Kounta Down/Offline Procedures Guide

Has your Kounta POS gone offline?
- Yes
Are you a single or multi register site?
- Single
Do not close your Kounta app. Your printing, Bump-it and/or Eftpos integration will remain connected as long as the app is not closed.
If you app has been logged out of and you have lost connection with your printer/Bump-it or Eftpos please do the following:
Printing/Bump-It
You will need to go to handwritten dockets for your kitchen, bar and coffee service. You can use these dockets to enter in the products the table/customer has had once they are ready to pay. The sales data will be saved on the iPad and be pushed to the cloud once Kounta is back online.

Eftpos Integration
You can enter the sale into Kounta and then take the total and manually input into your eftpos. This can be done but using the keypad on the device. Once the sale has been processed if you already have a Manual Eftpos payment type you would use this to close the sale on Kounta. If you do not have a Manual Eftpos payment type you can use the Cash payment type. Once back online if cash payment type has been used you would deduct the total of the manual eftpos slips from the cash total in Kounta to find your true Eftpos/Cash totals.
- Multi
For a multi register site you will have to select one POS to use as the only one any sales are entered into. This is due to the POS no longer being able to sync as the system is offline. You would be best to choose the main register POS for this situation.

Have you still going printer/Bump-it or Eftpos integration working correctly? If so, do not close the Kounta app. If you have please do the following:
