Creating a Custom URL for Your Abacus Online Ordering Page

If you’re currently using a long link with a store number to access your online ordering page, you can simplify it by creating a custom URL. This makes the link easier to remember and cleaner to share with customers.


Why this is useful? 

  • Easier to remember

  • Looks more professional when shared

  • Better for marketing (social media, QR codes, etc.)


How to set it up

  1. Go to your POS Back Office

  2. Navigate to Online Ordering → Configuration

  3. Find the Slug field

  4. Enter your preferred name (between 5–11 characters)

  5. Click Save



What happens next

Your link will change from the default URL like: 

oo.abacus.co/Store/5115624 


to a simpler version with the slug name to replace the store ID:

oo.abacus.co/S/anggacustom


You no longer need to use “Store” in the URL, just “S” followed by your chosen name.


Tips

  • Keep it short and easy to spell

  • Use your business name if possible

  • Avoid spaces or special characters


Once saved, you can start sharing your new link right away. Customers will be directed straight to your online ordering page.
